repeat the sounding joy.

Christmas Day can feel like the end of a laborious race. It can feel bittersweet, with an underlying sense of all-isn’t-calm, all-isn’t-bright.

What I have learned this Advent is that Christmas isn’t joy to the world in spite of the mess. Rather, Christmas is joy to the world because of the mess. Because God sent his son, Jesus. Because Jesus changes everything. It’s joy because of grace — rich, undeserved, redeeming grace.

So merry Christmas, friends. So grateful for you. May today be a day of joy.

SO much love,
Sarah
