The ever-amazing and beyond generous Mr. S. had flowers delivered to me at work today. In between grinning like a 13-year-old girl, my (male) boss and a (female) co-worker discussed them with me.
Beautiful! the co-worker said.
(I agree, don’t you?)
That gets me thinking, my boss said.
The best part happened as I walked back to my desk after putting the flowers in water. I overheard my boss on the phone — with the flower shop!
Red, he said. Two dozen.
After hanging up the phone, he walked over to my desk and recounted the story.
“They said it’s too late for delivery today, and they had just two dozen left. So I’m going over there now to get them for her.”
(I don’t make this stuff up, friends! Heartwarming, yes?)
We rarely know the full impact, beauty and power of our actions. Generosity inspires generosity and love inspires love — not just today, but every day. So love big, give generously and live fully — because those around you may be inspired to do the same.
And the happiest of happy Valentines Days to you, friends! This little blogging community has generously given me a whole lot of love. Thank you, thank you, thank you. Hershey’s Kisses to you all.
