gluten-free love

They say hindsight is 20-20. As I learn this blogging thing, I realize later what I should have done. I have so much to learn.

For example, the lovely Katie of Live Originally (a sorority sister and all-around fantastic girl!) sent me some gluten-free treats from a bakery near her home in La Jolla, California. I’m attempting a limited-gluten diet and so this package could not have been a sweeter surprise!

What do I do? I tear open the box (literally), tear open the envelope (literally) and tear apart the packaging. Three treats inside! A coconut treat, a chocolate treat and a loaf of bread. Looked amazing. I cut each in half and brought Mr. S. his share. Then I went all Cookie Monster on things.

My alter ego.

I did capture one photo, mid-snack.

Halfway through snack time.

They were sweet and light with a luscious texture, and I couldn’t believe they were gluten-free. The (not pictured, oops) bread was delicious as well and while it was different than the average loaf of bread, the seasoning made up for it. What a delightful surprise! Thanks so much, Katie.

  1. Aw! You’re too sweet, Sarah! πŸ™‚

I’m glad everything made it to you in one piece, and even happier to hear that it all was at least somewhat tasty. πŸ™‚
